Year 6

Mrs A Whitley

Teacher (USA)

My interests: I love spending time and going out with my family and friends, particularly my little girl. Sport also plays a big part in my life and I play football, usually in defence, for Northop Hall Ladies FC and I am also the Captain. Going to the gym is something else that I really enjoy and I support Liverpool. This is my 20th year in teaching and my favourite subjects to teach are PE and Maths.

A fun fact about me: When I was younger I was a mascot for Liverpool and I walked onto the pitch with John Barnes, who is my all time favourite player.

Mrs K Inglis

Teacher (Egypt)

My interests: I love to spend my free time with my family and friends. I can often be found enjoying long walks with my husband, son, daughter and two dogs at my favourite place, the beach. When I’m not enjoying the fresh air I enjoy spending time with my head in a book. I make time to read everyday and enjoy reading on my own or sharing stories with my children. I am new to Meadow this year but am really enjoying getting to know all of the wonderful staff, children and families which make up the school community.

A fun fact about me: My dad used to be a dairy farmer and I was never more at home than when in my wellies helping feed the calves. When I was younger, I won many prizes for showing calves at agricultural shows and once slept in a cowshed overnight on a bed of straw.

Mr S Davies

Teaching Assistant (USA)

My interests: I love spending time with my family and socialising with friends. I enjoy all sports, both watching and participating, but football is a particular passion, especially Liverpool whom I've followed all over Europe. I coach a local u11's football team and am a qualified swimming instructor.

Fun fact: 2 truths & 1 lie, but which is which. I've swam with dolphins, I have metal wires in my arm, I've never had a birthday in England.

Mrs P Ward

Teaching Assistant (USA)

My interests: I love spending time with my family which includes my husband Lee, 2 children Jake and Mia, as well as our 4 pets: Loki, our English Cocker Spaniel, our 3 cats named Oreo, Coco and Seb. I live locally and I am sure lots of you will see me out and about, walking for miles and miles with Loki, burning off some of that Spaniel energy.

I love to bake and to swim as regularly as I can. I also love to visit the Lake District where Mia and I will walk and climb mountains with Loki.

Fun fact: in 1984, I was a runner up in a National Blue Peter competition and I received my Blue Peter badge. I had to design a garden for the International Garden Festival in Liverpool.

Mrs L Beckett

Teaching Assistant (Egypt)

My interests : Spending time with my family is my favourite thing to do. I have two children Iris and Charlie, but our family will soon grow by four legs when we get our first puppy! We are all very excited to welcome little Olive to the family.

My hobbies are anything that my children want to do, I love taking them on days out to the zoo, to crazy golf or for a nice muddy walk.

Fun fact: I love sharks and have swam with the sharks at the Blue Planet. My dream is to swim with Great white sharks in Australia.

Mrs L Wardle

Teaching Assistant (USA)

My interests: I love spending time with my family although both my children are now grown up, so getting together nowadays is sometimes mission impossible. I have 3 dogs and enjoy taking them for walks but the real passion in my life is my horse Merlin who I don’t consider a pet but a cherished member of the family. He had a tough start in life and was rescued when he was only 2 days old, he is now 24 and as energetic as ever I spend most of my spare time with him he probably has a better manicure than me and a shinier coat ha, ha!

Fun fact about me: I learned to ride a horse before I could walk! I qualified to ride for Great Britain when I was 15.

Mrs K Stuffin

Teaching Assistant (Egypt)

My interests: I love spending time with my three daughters; Caitlin, Kayla and Lacie. We love walking with our dog Princess the pug and snuggling with our two cats Callie and Willow. My real passion is anything arty but most of all I love interior design. My dream would be to dress show homes!

I’ve lived in Germany for a year and my favourite part was the Christmas markets.

Fun fact about me: I love having funky hair and think I’ve had every colour of the rainbow, I've even had pink and purple dreadlocks.

Mrs J Hawtin

Learning Mentor Lead (Egypt)

My interests : I love spending time with my husband and my daughter. We enjoy the outdoors and love going on long walks with our german shorthaired pointer Arthur.

I enjoy cooking new recipes and have a collection of cookery books from around the world.

I love visiting and exploring new places, one of my favourite places I have travelled to is Rome.

I have worked as a teaching assistant/learning mentor for 23 years which I very much enjoy.

A fun fact about me: When I was young I entered a competition in the Chester Chronicle newspaper, to my surprise, I won 48 packets of Hula Hoops.
